Nursery Reopening

Church Family,

We are excited to announce that we will be reopening our First Kids Nursery Sunday, September 6th, 2020.

Here are a few things you need to know if you are planning on bringing your children to the nursery.

First Kids Preschool Ministry Wellness Policies and Procedures.

Ages: Birth-Kindergarten

 Individual Wellness

  • If your child or anyone in your home has had a cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever over 100.4 or chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell in the last 48 hours, please stay home.
  • At the first sign of any of the above symptoms, the sick individual will be sent home.
  • All volunteers are expected to wear a mask. Children 1st-6th grade, masks are highly encouraged.
  • Children ages 0-Kindergarten will not be required to wear a mask
  • Notify us if/when any member of your immediate family has been diagnosed or directly exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • Educate and equip children and families on the importance of social distancing when possible.

  • We will do our best to remain socially distanced during the drop-off/pick up process.
  • Touchless thermometers will be available at the check-in desk if needed.
  • Limit 1 parent to drop off to reduce the number of people in the hallway.
  • Parents are not to enter the rooms. Your child will be greeted at the door and brought into the classroom.
  • Limit your child’s belongings to what they will need for 1 hour and make sure all items are labeled. Please do not send any snacks as we will not be serving food during the worship hour.

Pick Up:

  • Only one parent/guardian will be able to pick up and must present the security tag at the door.
  • Parents are encouraged to exit the building once they have their kids. Please do not stay in the hallways for long amounts of time.

During Class Time:

  • The number of students in each class will be limited to 5-6 children and 2 volunteers.
  • Most activities will be “single-use” and will minimize the sharing of other supplies.
  • Children ages 0-Kindergarten will not be required to wear a mask
  • Snacks may not be served except for those children requiring bottles. Volunteers will sanitize regularly throughout the morning.
  • A limited- touch policy will be encouraged. Instead of high-fives, fist-bumps, and hugs, we will encourage elbow bumps and air hugs.

Cleaning Rooms:

  • Rooms will be sanitized after each service
  • Tables, chairs, countertops, doorknobs, and other hard surfaces will be disinfected between services.
  • All toys, books, and other items will be limited in each classroom. Used items will be put into a bucket/bin and sanitized during the week and ready for the next Sunday.
